Boscage
at Dorothea Dix Park

Boscage  (countable and uncountable, plural boscages)

Definition: A place set with trees or mass of shrubbery, a grove or thicket.

Boscage is a site-specific artwork at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, NC. It opened as part of the SEEK Raleigh festival on June 1, 2019. Boscage consists of 15 sculptural trees and an 8 channel sound installation that runs on a loop 24/7. Part painting, part sculpture, and part new music installation, the piece is meant to provoke a sense of wonder in regular visitors to the park, inspiring the notion that even the most familiar of places still offer undiscovered magic. The piece will remain up until August 31, 2019.
